Seetec Outsource has been named Transport and Logistics Apprenticeship Provider of the Year for the second time at this year’s FE Week and AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards.
The awards, which are in their 5th year, are a celebration of excellence in apprenticeship delivery and a highlight in the apprenticeship sector calendar, attracting providers, colleges, employers, and apprentices from across the UK.
Seetec Outsource, part of the employee-owned Seetec Group, was announced as the winner for the popular Transport & Logistics category, one of 15 awards up for grabs at the gala dinner conference held on the 22nd March, to recognise excellence in apprenticeship provision.
The transport & logistics industry has faced a challenging 24 months, with the effects of Brexit and Covid-19 putting extra strain on an ageing workforce. Coupled with an increase in consumer demand for deliveries during lockdown, this has put apprenticeships in the driving seat to aid recovery.
With decades of experience within the sector, Seetec Outsource came to the fore, helping to develop new apprenticeship standards and partnering with large and small businesses to attract new talent into the industry while upskilling existing staff to meet current and future challenges.
Collecting the award for Seetec Outsource, Lloyd DeVal, Director of Sector Skills, said: “We are delighted to win the Transport & Logistics Apprenticeship Provider of the year award for the second time. The industry is facing some significant challenges with an ageing workforce, changes to the way we import and export, and new technologies.
